Dollar Shave Club was started in 2011 and has undergone tremendous growth. As result the company was scaling out of their current back office solutions which consisted of Quickbooks, spreadsheets and many manual processes. Rancon Real Estate has been synonymous with real estate sales and development in southwest section of Riverside County, CA. The company established in early 1970’s has seen steady growth and in 2015 had over $100 million in revenue with over 100 employees and agents. Along with real estate development, Rancon has diversified into the wine, self-storage and hospitality marketplaces.

Business Problem

The main reasons for Rancon Real Estates search of a new ERP platform are as follows:

RJT Solution Beacon utilized its Lighthouse Methodologysm approach consisting of five phases which are task driven and risk averse and the complete solution was delivered in 90 days. RJT Solution Beacon provided Rancon with the right skills, experience, quality checks and resources for system configurations, training and system integrity. The best in class COA is able to capture key business segments for reporting and monitoring in General Ledger. This has provided Rancon a foundation for forecasting, reporting analytics and control over transactions across the many legal entities found in the business. The solution minimizes application users having to change company context and allows them to work across a number of legal entities at one time. Reporting can now be done for a specific legal entity or across a range of legal entities.

The cloud solution has provided benefits of a centralized system with all on-going maintenance issues being handled directly by Oracle Corporation. Rancon can now stay current with both the application and technologies available in the system.

Company Overview

MagTek was founded in 1972 and is a leading manufacturer of electronic systems for the reliable issuance, reading, transmission and security of cards, checks, PINs and identification documents. Leading with innovation and engineering excellence, MagTek is known for quality and dependability. Its products include secure card reader/authenticators, encrypting check scanners, PIN pads and distributed credential personalization systems. These products are used worldwide by financial institutions, retailers, and processors to provide secure and efficient payment and identification transactions.

Business Problem

MagTek had a failed e-Business Suite implementation. Their previous systems integrator set unrealistic expectations across the board with MagTek and as a result the project was stopped halfway through the process.

The company had purchased the e-Business application to replace an aging and inefficient ERP system from Epicor. MagTek was growing and needed an application that would integrate all major business processes from Product Development to the General Ledger and everything in-between from a single vendor.
